Peaceful Assembly Church friends pot-luck supper

Friends of the Peaceful Assembly Church are invited visit Sunday September 1, 2013 at 4 pm for a pot-luck supper.

The regular Sunday religious meeting will start at 1 pm for all interested in attending. Afterwards the Peaceful Assembly Church buildings and grounds will be open for viewing. Please bring an item and stay for the pot-luck supper which will start at 4 pm.

Peaceful Assembly Church will be sharing all the changes that happened in the last few months with the church, its buildings and Pastor John. We would like to invite friends and supporters to offer their guidance, ideas, support and involvement in going forward together as a community.

John Connell purchased the property in Grafton Center in 2010 to be a community asset, immediately the property, now called Peacefully Assembly Church, was open to all Peaceful people having weekly religious services, community events, family gatherings, counseling and provided a place to rest with bottled water for users of the Rail Trail.
Among the events, Peaceful Assembly Church has held the yearly Grafton Apple Festival, Thanksgiving dinners, a toy drive in conjunction with the Grafton Recreation Committee, and memorial services for friends who have left us.

In August 2013 John has relinquishing ownership of the property completely, by gifting the property to a newly formed voluntary association. The new Peaceful Assembly Church is guided by a five-member Board of Directors, along with a Board of Advisors and John Connell himself, who will continue to serve as Pastor and Sexton of the property.

We believe that Peaceful Assembly Church is a community asset and are looking to ask the community their view of where the church's mission and community outreach can be expanded to fulfill the members, community, and spiritual needs.

A RSVP would be appreciated in helping to plan the event.

There are plans for the friends who can not attend by interacting via Facebook at 5 pm.

Thank you.
